adventure in the spectacular Tetons.

  • About the Festival

The first annual Jackson Hole Birding Festival is a three-day community celebration of the remarkable diversity of bird life in and around beautiful, wild Jackson, Wyoming.

Scheduled for May 22–25, 2025, the festival will draw on the wealth of knowledge and experience of experts in bird conservation, tours, field excursions, and educational opportunities to provide an engaging and academic immersion in the natural delights of the Tetons.

  • Be Prepared

In the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, it can snow any time of year, especially at higher elevations. Here are a few suggestions for what to bring to make your birding more comfortable.

A reusable water container. It’s easy to get dehydrated at altitude.
Warm clothing and a coat, including a hat and gloves.
    Sturdy shoes or boots.
    Binoculars and camera gear.
Sunblock and a ball cap or other sun protection, including sunglasses.
Field guides, either books or apps, and maybe a notebook and pencil.
